Prayer is an essential part of our spiritual lives. Prayer helps center us, connect with God and lift up things we are both thankful for and concerned about. Prayer also can help us look beyond our own needs and instead notice the needs of others.
For many years, Shepherd of the Hills has had a strong prayer partner program, which has helped connect our children with other faithful adults in our congregation. We want to re-establish this program.
Our goal is to link up all of our children Kindergarten to Seniors in High School with a prayer partner. If you already have a prayer partner from years ago and would like to re-establish that relationship, we would like to honor that connection.
On September 24th, we will kick off our Prayer Partner Program with a special event. We will connect old prayer partners and new ones and have a designated time for you to meet, get to know one another and pray for each other.
Are you willing to be a prayer partner? Here’s what we are asking you to do. Pray for and connect with kids in the church during their school years. Connect once a month through any of the following ways: meet after worship, sit together in worship, talk on the phone, text, Skype/Facetime in order to ask for prayer requests and to pray one another.
Sign up today!
Please direct questions to Pastor Joanna Mitchell or Kaye Wothe, Parish Nurse.
