Emily Koski

emily.webEmily directs the Shepherd’s Song choir, a group that offers an eclectic blend of adult contemporary, praise and worship, gospel, world music, and traditional hymns with the goal of providing a spirit-filled worship experience. Being able to work with a fun group of talented musicians who are able to present so many different musical styles is what keeps Emily excited about this role.

Coming from a family of musicians, Emily has been involved in church music her whole life and has worked as a cantor, Cathedral choir member, and praise band director, as well as teaching voice and piano lessons and serving as director for theatrical programs. She has her bachelor of fine arts in musical theatre from Viterbo University and her master’s degree in vocal performance from Wichita State University.

In addition to working at Shepherd, Emily also works in human resources at U.S. Bank, where she manages employee volunteer leaders in the diversity & inclusion division. She married her husband, Shay, in 2011, and they have two small boys. In her free time, Emily enjoys scrapbooking and shopping for deals, and she has recently taken up photography, which is proving to be a challenging hobby when attempting to take pictures of active little boys!
