Welcome Spring

Finally!! Sunshine, warm air and puddles of melting snow! Thanks be to God!! Summer is also the time for cabins, weekends away and time with family. I always encourage people to enjoy their time in summer, and have often wondered if as a family of faith we could consider closing up shop for the month of July and sending all of us out into God’s good creation for worship. We won’t do that, but it sounds fun!!

So, as you enjoy your lake homes and vacation, consider helping your family of faith manage our cash flow. While we are a bit behind in our giving through first quarter, we are as always, confident that our strong history of giving will continue. As you review your family’s giving, please consider the following options as we move into summer:

Could you …
1. Make a special gift that covers all your summer promises. Consider making a gift that
would be the equivalent of May, June and July in one gift. Then head out into God’s
creation for worship and recreation.
2. Consider signing up for an electronic method of giving. The form for an automatic
checking account transfer can be found on the welcome desk. Or you could use a credit card and sign up to make regular gifts through Give+. Information can be found on the welcome desk or by downloading the Give+ app on your phone or tablet. Consider adding about 3% to your giving to cover the cost of processing fees.

However you decide to make your gifts this summer… we as a family of faith are grateful. Your gifts matter! They help us inspire faith through Vacation Bible School. They help love our neighbor as we prepare to help with a refugee family. Your gifts help people in our own community feel loved through our partnership with Tapestry Ministry and the Blake Road Corridor Collaborative.

Thank you for all you share! We are a blessed and growing family of faith because of your response to God’s call to share the love of Jesus! Thank you!!

See you outside in God’s good creation!
